Too Many Holidays

Happy Thanksgiving! Jolly Black Friday? Wait, no. Merry Christmas! Have you noticed that? That they pretty much go right from Halloween to Christmas? Not me, though. Just kidding. That was a joke because the day after Thanksgiving, on Black Friday, we went to the Christmas themed amusement park, Busch Gardens. In Virginia. Did I mention that I was in Virginia for Thanksgiving? Maybe I'll mention it later because I'm going to tell you about Busch Gardens. Well, I didn't take any pictures because I left my phone at the house so you'll just have to either imagine it or go to Google Images. I'm sure we're in the background of some random stranger's picture, though, so it's all good.
First, we got our picture taken with the Gingerbread Man which kind of counters everything I just said. Then, we went for a train ride whilst listening to Christmas music. That put me right in the spirit. Then, we strolled along until I begged to try an impossible basketball shooting game where I, of course, lost. There was only one roller-coaster running during the Christmas village extravaganza which I was peer-pressured into going on. Verbolten. It was really fun, actually. We also went on a gondola ride when it was dark and the twinkly Christmas lights were super bright. We waited in line for almost an hour. The gondola was really fun, but only about three minutes long and not really worth it. After that we tried the best hot chocolate ever. It was like peppermint fudge or something. And the worlds best hotdog. The pretzel dog. Now I have Christmas songs stuck in my head.
I am about to go backwards and tell you about Thanksgiving. Don't confuse yourself. This year for Thanksgiving we went to Virginia to see family. We drove for 10 hours split into two days. With a puppy. I was thankful for family and friends and food and such, but mostly I was thankful that he didn't pee in the car. We finally got there. We stuffed ourselves on Thanksgiving, saw The Perks of Being a Wallflower in the theater, and went Black Friday shopping at the mall in the Navy Base.
On our last day my mom and my sister got the flu so we had an extended day. For them it sucked, but not for me. I got to go to the zoo, learned how to play cribbage and watched some movies. But other than the flu and the LONG drive it was really fun. And now I must collapse in a heap because I just got home from driving for 10 hours home from Virginia.

                                                    Melita has left the building.
